No, not true when states remove (TSA baggage of being discovered by X-rays) and let them know that medicine. The drug is exempt from the 3-1-1 liquids and gels restrictions, including the size of the container.

If all else fails, ask to speak to a supervisor. In the case of medicine, should not be the TSA rules, a problem.

If you reduce this discomfort to call in to talk to a TSA supervisor at the checkpoint outside the airport with them and maintain them, or put it in your luggage and check-in the plane.

But again, when it comes to drugs should not be a problem, and not according to rules 3-1-1 and need not be in a pocket. To delete it from your hand luggage and tell him it was medical in nature. Not if you tell it that it medicine.

According to the TSA website:

You can make all drugs and nonprescription medications (liquids, gels and aerosols) including KY jelly, eye drops, and SaliNo solution for medical purposes.

You are not restricted in the quantity or volume of these elements, which can bring in their hand luggage. But if the medically necessary items exceed 3 grams, or are not in a room that contained a plastic bag with a lid, you have to explain one of our security guards of the checkpoint for further investigation.

For the least hassle and headache to hold 3 ounces (in a container that can contain no more than 3 ounces) with you in a zippered pocket and put the rest in the luggage hold.

Must have less than 3 ounces (valid for each element of liquid or gel of 3 grams or less and all containers is fully fit in a pocket size ziplock quarter) clear or you can carry in your pocket to have. You can use a larger bottle in checked luggage. You should consult the website of the NAFTA, to see what can and what not to fly.
